Emergency information is not emergency service
Gulf Coast Storm Safety Hub provides educational information, maps, weather data, shelter references, and communication tools. It is not 911, an emergency dispatcher, a shelter operator, a medical provider, or a government agency. For immediate danger, call 911. Follow instructions from local emergency management and official weather authorities.
Data sources and accuracy
Weather and alert information may come from the National Weather Service, National Hurricane Center, public map providers, and other official or public sources. Data can be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or changed. Verify critical information with local officials before acting. Shelter availability, transportation, and accessibility must be confirmed directly before travel.
Community and location features
Use only information you are authorized to share. Do not post addresses, children's identifying information, medical details, or another person's location without consent. Location sharing, contact invitations, notifications, and emergency messages require user choice and may depend on device permissions and delivery providers.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, impersonate another person, harass others, publish dangerous misinformation, attempt unauthorized access, or use community content as a substitute for an official emergency instruction.
